Our meals are cooked on-site following the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines. We believe developing minds and bodies are best served with healthy and nutritious meals. Therefore, our meals are prepared with fresh food items with minimal processed/artificially flavored ingredients or items containing sugar. We rotate through five weekly menu plans- they are posted by the front door and in our meal area.
We place great pride in teaching children age-appropriate personal care. Research suggests that children desire to be independent and complete tasks themselves; they show great pride in mastering skills! With that in mind, our children participate in meal preparation and clean-up by setting their place at the table (with real dinnerware), assist in pouring their drink, and are taught how to properly use silverware.
